Is Invisalign Worth the Investment? A Comprehensive Breakdown of Invisalign Singapore Cost

The cost of Invisalign treatment in Singapore ranges from $4,000 to $15,000. The total expense varies from one person to another due to many reasons. What you will pay during your journey from crooked to well-aligned teeth will depend upon your doctor’s experience and the complexity of your treatment needs.

Invisalign is the oldest and most popular clear aligner used in teeth straightening. It consists of a series of clear aligner trays that apply gentle pressure on your teeth until they reach their ideal position. These aligners are removable, comfortable, and, most of all – unnoticeable!

Invisalign has become a familiar and effective alternative to traditional braces. It can fix simple as well as moderately complex malocclusion of teeth. So unless your issue is highly complex, Invisalign can do the job for you.

Although clear aligners are costlier than traditional braces, they are still the preferred option for many people. Some choose it for the aesthetic benefit of being invisible, while others prefer its comfort and convenience. Whatever the reason is, Invisalign has become the go-to solution for achieving a straighter, healthier set of teeth.

In short, if you want to transform your smile without feeling painful and unattractive metal braces around your teeth, Invisalign will be your best bet.

As the cost of Invisalign in Singapore varies widely, many people are uncertain if it’s worth the investment. Keep reading as we break down the benefits of Invisalign and its procedure and let you decide whether it’s the right choice for you – and your wallet!

Is Invisalign worth the investment?

Invisalign Treatment

Here are just a few reasons why spending your money on clear aligners is something you will not regret.

Comfortable

Invisalign trays are made of smooth plastic that neither irritates your gums nor pokes your cheeks. In addition, Invisalign aligners are changed every few weeks, so there is less discomfort from adjustments than with traditional braces.

Reduced number of Office visits

With Invisalign, your dental visits will be 6-8 weeks apart. Instead of making 7-8 appointments with your doctor, you will be good in 3 or 4. You will spend less time visiting your doctor, waiting in line, and getting your braces adjusted and more time doing the things you love!

Virtually Invisible

If aesthetics are one of your concerns, and your looks matter to you, Invisalign will be your best bet. Gone are the days when wearing uncomfortable metal braces would make you even more self-conscious. With clear aligners, your friends won’t know you’re getting your teeth straightened.

Good oral hygiene

Unlike traditional braces, you can remove your aligners whenever possible. Flossing and brushing your teeth with removable aligners will help you maintain good oral hygiene.

Quick results

Invisalign is the fastest way to straighten your teeth. It takes only half the time it would take for traditional braces to get your teeth aligned.

What is the process of getting Invisalign Treatment In Singapore?

Invisalign Singapore

Initial Consultation

On your initial consultation with DP Dental, we will walk you through the procedure, estimate the cost, and the time it will take for Invisalign to work its magic. The initial consultation will include a series of X-rays and intra-oral photographs of your teeth. Once your issue has been assessed thoroughly and pictures are taken, our experts will inform you everything you need to know about your treatment.

The initial consultation with a dentist costs between $150 and $300. However, if you proceed with the treatment, some clinics will adjust the expense to the total treatment.

The Way Forward

If you wish to progress with the treatment, we will order a series of customised aligner trays based on the 3D model of your mouth. In about two to three weeks, we will provide you with your Invisalign braces. At this point, your doctor will teach you how to wear aligners, and when to change them, and also guide you about digital monitoring software.

During The Treatment

Ideally, each pair of aligner trays is worn for about two weeks. After that, you should be able to move to the next pair. Since each aligner pushes your teeth by 0.25mm, your treatment plan will ultimately depend upon how much movement your teeth need.

You must wear your aligner trays for at least 22 hours each day. Apart from eating and brushing your teeth, keeping them on always will ensure quick results.

Digital Monitoring

At DP dental, we schedule remote appointments with our patients. Instead of weekly office visits, we monitor the progress of your Invisalign treatment through Dental monitoring software. This advanced AI technology allows your dentist to analyse your treatment through intraoral photographs from anywhere in the world.

How long does Invisalign treatment take?

On average Invisalign treatment takes about 12 months. In complex cases, it can take up to two years before you can show the world your brand-new smile.

While most people start seeing results in just a few weeks, the overall length of your treatment will largely depend upon the complexity of your issue and your compliance with the treatment.

After Your Teeth are Aligned

Once your treatment is done, your doctor will advise you to wear a retainer for a short period. Retainers are devices that hold your teeth together and prevent them from returning to their previous position. They fix your teeth into your gums in the new place. Retainers can be removable or fixed depending on your needs and preference.

What can Invisalign fix?

Invisalign treatment is commonly employed to treat various dental issues. They can efficiently treat mild teeth spacing to complex malocclusion.

Overbite

It is a type of dentition in which the upper teeth overlap the lower set. Minor cases of Overbite are normal and don’t require any treatment. However, when the upper jaw is far forward compared to the lower jaw, it can cause pain and discomfort.

Underbite

When the lower jaw protrudes ahead of the upper jaw when you close your mouth, it’s called an underbite. Eating, chewing, and talking can be particularly painful with an underbite.

Open bite

Open Bite occurs when your teeth don’t come together correctly when you close your jaw. This issue can cause difficulty biting and chewing, speech problems, and even self-esteem issues.

Crossbite

In a crossbite, some upper teeth fit inside your lower teeth when you close your jaw. Crossbite occurs due to sideways misalignment of teeth and can significantly affect your appearance.

Overcrowding

When there’s not enough room for teeth to grow, the new teeth push against each other resulting in overcrowding. Overcrowding can cause crooked teeth, overlapping teeth, and even teeth that are entirely out of alignment. It can lead to problems like difficulty cleaning your teeth properly, tooth decay, and gum disease.

In short, if your case is not TOO complex, Invisalign can do the job!

Cost of Invisalign in Singapore

While traditional braces in Singapore cost around $3,000 to $4,000, the Invisalign treatments are comparatively more expensive.

A reliable Invisalign treatment in Singapore costs about $4,000 to $15,000. The overall cost depends on the time it’ll take to straighten your teeth. If your issue is more complicated, setting them straight will take more time and aligners. Many types of Invisalign treatments are used based on the individual’s needs.

Full Moderate Lite Express

If you have a complicated dentition and need significant teeth movement, your dentist will go for complete Invisalign treatment.

Invisalign Full involves a series of unlimited custom-made aligners needed to meet the end goal of well-aligned teeth.

This treatment plan incorporates a set of 26 pairs of aligners. If your case is moderately complex and requires more than ten aligners, dentists will go with this option.

Invisalign Lite is a shorter form of Invisalign treatment. It consists of only 14 trays. This treatment is used to eliminate mild spacing, overcrowding, and malalignments.

Invisalign Lite treatment typically lasts for about 6-8 months.

Express is the quickest form of Invisalign treatment. With only 5 to 10 trays, Invisalign Express can treat mild spacing and relapse issues within six months.

It is up to your dentist to determine which treatment plan works best for you. If you have severe malocclusion, comprehensive treatment will be offered. However, Invisalign Express can be the preferred option if you require quick adjustments. Overall, if your issue is more complicated, more aligners will be used, and ultimately costlier, your treatment will be.
